Company data

Your company data: An unsolvable puzzle?

Your company data is like a jigsaw puzzle: if you recognize the connections and dependencies between the individual pieces, you will be able to put together and interpret the "big picture". If you fail to do this, you are left with a big pile of small pieces - and a lot of missing insights. We see time and again that there are two types of companies:

  • Those who regularly struggle with their data puzzle and despair at the high level of complexity.
  • Those who harness the variety and scope of your data to develop detailed data sets and make accurate future predictions - a perfect basis for making data-driven decisions.

The difference:

While companies in the first category still carry out their data integration manually using Excel & Co, companies in the second category work with modern data warehouse software - digital storage systems that harmonize large volumes of data from different sources and formats. Such a solution offers your company several advantages:

  • Instead of investing countless hours every month in cleansing data records, automate the process of data integration.
  • You and your employees gain valuable time for important things.
  • At the same time, the finance department, BI department, management or sales department benefit from enormously high data quality.

The difference for your company data

Definition: What is a data warehouse?

A data warehouse is a big data application and functions as a digital storage system that integrates and harmonizes large volumes of data from various sources and makes it available for analyses via business intelligence. It enables the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data as well as the use of metadata and provides access tools for interacting with the data. This process can be divided into 4 different phases:

  1. Data collection: Data is extracted from different source systems
  2. Data integration: The data is merged and harmonized
  3. Data storage: The data is stored using a predefined structure
  4. Data retrieval: The data is made available for analysis and reporting

Have a data warehouse system developed - this is how it works:

Phase 1: Listening & understanding

In an initial consultation, we analyze your current situation together. We take a look at what data is generated in your company and what type of solution might be suitable in your case. We will be happy to give you an insight into comparable data warehouse and BI projects that we have successfully implemented together with our customers in the recent past.

Phase 2: Planning & concept

In phase 2, we develop a customized strategy for developing a suitable data warehouse system for your company. We also take a look at any existing systems and see how they could be optimized. After this step, you will have a finished proof of concept in your hands, including a cost estimate for the software development.

Phase 3: Technical implementation

If you commission us with the technical implementation, we breathe life into the concepts and designs in phase 3, i.e. our data warehouse developers start work and develop customized data warehouse software for you within a few weeks. The focus is on data quality, data consistency and the possibility of needs-oriented data procurement.

Phase 4: Briefing & handover

After quality assurance by our software testing team, we hand over your new data warehouse system to you, i.e. we take care of the technical implementation in your company and ensure a smooth transition from the old to the new system.

Phase 5: Training & education

We train you and your team members in the correct use of your new data warehouse solution.

Phase 6: Maintenance & further development

If you wish, we can provide you with long-term data warehousing support by maintaining your system, developing it regularly and allowing it to grow in line with your company's requirements.

Data integration on autopilot - that's what you get from a data warehouse system from Partake:

  • Customized solution for your data integration: We tailor your data warehouse system precisely to the processes and structures of your company.
  • High compatibility with other software tools: Regardless of whether you use SAP, Microsoft Azure or IBM solutions: Data warehouse software from Partake can be easily connected to or integrated into third-party systems.
  • High-speed performance: Perform fast queries and analyses at any time, regardless of the type and scope of the information.
  • Top-level data security: Data warehouse software from Partake has built-in mechanisms for automated data cleansing and encryption, which ensures comprehensive protection of your sensitive company data.
  • Flexibility and scalability: Your new data warehousing system adapts to changing requirements, i.e. you can change or scale the data stock at any time without having to provide additional resources.
  • Fast and cost-effective solution: Thanks to our smart development approach, the software development effort is reduced by a factor of 5 - 10, which lowers development costs and enables deployment within 4 - 6 weeks.
  • Simple and efficient data handling: Instead of manually sifting through and merging a wide variety of data as in the past, this process is now fully automated - rule-based ETL routines make it possible. This saves you many hours of valuable working time every week.
  • All important data in one place: Data warehouse software from Partake brings together and standardizes data from all sources - giving you a holistic view of all processes within your company.

Our projects require a very high degree of customer focus, quality and reliability. This is exactly why we rely on a long-standing partner in Partake. In addition to high flexibility, we value the combination of professional and technical expertise in a very distinctive form.

Is it worthwhile for my company to invest in data warehouse software?

Of course, the development of a data warehouse system involves a certain amount of effort. For most of our customers, however, these efforts pay off within a few weeks, as you save many hours of working time every week because you no longer have to merge or cleanse the data yourself.

And your BI team benefits from high-quality data, which helps those responsible to make better decisions faster, which are directly linked to the success of the company. With a modern, functional data warehouse, you create a perfect basis for, for example

  • Identify bottlenecks in production
  • improve internal processes
  • Optimize your fulfillment
  • improve the quality of your products (and thus also the satisfaction of your customers)

Plus: Your entire working day feels much more comfortable because a large part of the annoying routine tasks involved in data integration are handled automatically by your new data warehouse tool.

When developing such solutions, we rely on a so-called data vault - a data modeling and data storage model that enables a high degree of flexibility and parallel data loading processes. You can look forward to agile and scalable data warehouse software that fits your current situation and can be adapted to future challenges at any time.

Data integration without manual effort? A customized data warehouse system makes it possible

The future of your company depends largely on decisions. Decisions that you can only make if you have the right data quality. A customized data warehouse system helps you to make sense of all the data your company generates. If you consider that customer demands are increasing year on year and that the amount of data is constantly growing due to technological possibilities, you realize that there is no way around a modern data warehouse system if a company wants to remain competitive in the long term.

Because you should bear this in mind: The competition never sleeps. Many companies have realized that accurate reporting is the key to meaningful forecasts and forward-looking decisions. This, in turn, is only possible if you are in control of your data. A customized data warehouse draws the long-awaited big picture from your company data - without any manual data cleansing or other time-consuming routine work by you or your team members.

FAQs on data integration - frequently asked questions about our data warehouse systems

In times of high technology, it is no longer the people and systems, but the processes that hold the most potential for optimization.

In order to optimize your processes, you need an appropriate data situation, i.e. the more often you have access to the most important key figures in all areas of your company, the faster you can identify bottlenecks or react to changes. A data warehouse solution enables you to do just that.

This means you no longer have to make decisions based on gut feeling, but on sound facts and figures.

Data warehouse software (DWH software) can process both structured data (Excel spreadsheets, database tables, etc.) and unstructured data (XML files, web content from Google & Co., etc.).

It is also possible to process current and historical information - whereby the data warehouse can also access upstream systems such as SAP or Microsoft Azure. The range of formats extends from videos, images and documents to sensor data.

A data warehouse consists of 3 layers:

  • Data layer: This is where data integration takes place, i.e. the extraction, transformation and loading of data.
  • Semantic layer: This is where OLAP servers (Online Analytical Processing) and OLTP servers (Online Transaction Processing) work, which are responsible for analyzing multidimensional data and processing transactions in real time.
  • Analytical layer: People can access and interact with the data using appropriate front-end tools.

In addition, there is the central database, which serves as a storage basis.

We cannot give a general answer to this question, as the answer depends on too many external factors, such as the size of your organization and the type and scope of the data to be integrated.

We will be happy to take a closer look at your requirements in a free consultation and can give you a rough guide.

With Partake as your development partner, it is possible to provide your data warehousing both on cloud and on-premise.
